Think On These Things

Attitude is a settled way of thinking about something you believed. It affects who you really are and what you will become.

“Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.” Philippians 4:8 KJV

What occupies your mind more than anything else in your life today?

Your life is a result of your thoughts over the past few years and your future will eventually depend on what you think today, are you changing your attitude or your way of thinking?.

What enters our mind and occupies the thoughts and intents of our hearts will ultimately come out of our mouth. You can change your life today by starting to change the way you think. Here are some areas to consider that may shape our way of thinking:

  1. The type of environment that we live in determines our thoughts. Home is where values are formed and lifestyles are practiced. If one lives in a broken home, it will be reflected on his thoughts, words and habits.
  2. What you are doing during your spare time is the result of what you think about most of the time. An idle mind is the devil’s workshop. Good discipline of character is what it takes to spend your time wisely. Engage yourself in reading books that will help you in your personal development, spend more time reading the Word of our Creator, The Bible.
  3. There’s a saying that goes- “Show me your friends, and I’ll show you your future. Your closest friends will determine how you think, and unknowingly influence you, Oftentimes, peer pressure has great influence in our life.

You can change the way you think by following some principles the world suggest but be to truly change you need to go back to the basics, go back to our Creator, ask Him how, examine what His words are, remember you are not an accident you are created for a purpose.

All Glory belongs to our One True and Living GOD, who gave us His Word in Philippians 4:8, let this be a pattern of our thought life today.

healing process

There is a healing process in every wound. Our body has the ability to heal itself.

People with wounds cannot perform at their full potential, healing is a process in which when we allow it to take place it will be “better and better” each day, if we resist it then it will take some time or even longer time and it will be

‘bitter and bitter” at some point.

One of the most amazing part of our body is the brain, GOD gave us the power to have control over any situation we are in and it helps us with the healing process. The brain sends signals to the Endocrine System and it does the miraculous healing process.

This proves that we are created in the image of  the Magnificient GOD that gives us the ability to control the healing process in our body.

This may sound strange but medical sciences only prove the supreme capabilities of humans which includes rejuvination of cells that can take place even in 7 hours of deep sleep.

You can experience healing in all aspects of life if you only allow it to happen.

The Fullest

There is absolutely no point when you go for a certain event or presentation, without putting forth your best self. At any point of life, when you don’t put your best into the workload, little or huge, you aren’t living life to the fullest. Life is worth living but for what it’s worth, it’s just a mere waste of time if you don’t have any willpower or desire to put your best foot forward. Even if it’s against your will or not exactly your favourite thing, since you’ve already begun, why don’t you give it your all to the finish. Not only will it give you a wonderful end result, but also a sense of accomplishment. As my dad would always say, “Don’t try, do your best.”

Be Thankful

“In everything give thanks.”

This is a challenging concept- but it is really true. It has been given to us in order to build our character- a person that our Almighty GOD wants us to be. 1 Thessalonians 5:18 KJV says “In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.”

That day was quite a challenging yet thankful day.

It happened on the first day of September (this year), it was a memorable character-building experience. One of the tires of our car got punctured on our way to lunch before Dad’s flight to Vietnam. We were thankful because we were able to park the car before the tire went totally flat.

We went to the restaurant that we wanted but there were no seats available so we went to have lunch at Subway instead.

After we had our lunch, Dad rushed back to the car and started to work on the punctured wheel for a spare tire replacement. When he was about to loosen the locking nuts, he had another surprise because the box wrench tool was not of the correct size to loosen the locking nuts. Time was not on our side because Dad only had two hours left before his upcoming flight, so he rushed out of the mall (because there weren’t any shops in the mall that sold that tool) to find the right size of box wrench to use. He ended up at a motor shop which allowed him bring the box wrenches of different sizes by giving a deposit of 40 dollars in case he would not return the other wrenches.

We were able to replace the tire with a spare one. However, Dad had to drive really slow because the spare tire actually lacked air. Nevertheless, we managed to reach the motor shop and replace the spare tire with a second-hand tire of the same size that cost $50 $15 for the box wrench that he bought. The shop owner was also nice enough to check the status of other tires. We managed to return home safely and Dad still had ample time to go to the airport for his Vietnam flight. GOD is good all the time!

If we did not hold on to the concept of giving thanks in everything, the situation would have been different. We would have panicked, complained, and maybe Dad would have missed his flight. To One true and living GOD be all the glory. We thank Him.
